Whole Wheat Walnut Oatmeal Raisin Cookies - Healthy and Tasty!

This is as healthy as a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast!
Ingredients:
  • 1 C Whole wheat flour
  • 1 t Ground cinnamon
  • 1 t Baking powder
  • 1⁄2 t Baking soda
  • 1⁄2 t Sea salt
  • 1 C Brown sugar
  • 1⁄4 C Applesauce
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 T Unsalted butter
  • 1 1⁄2 t Vanilla extract
  • 1 1⁄3 C Oats
  • 1 C Chopped walnuts
  • 1⁄2 C Jumbo Raisins, or 1 cup regular raisins
Directions:
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in one bowl.
  3. Mix the brown sugar, applesauce, eggs, unsalted butter, and vanilla extract, in another bowl.
  4. Mix the two bowls into one bowl.
  5. Add in the oats, walnuts, and raisins, stirring just until mixed.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of the dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  7. Cook for 10-12 minutes, at 350 degrees, or until lightly golden brown.
