Perfect Winter Oatmeal - This Tastes so Much Better!

Here’s a perfectly delicious way to start a day of healthy eating.
  • 2-1/4 C Water
  • 1 C Old Fashioned (regular) rolled oats
  • 1/16 t Kosher sea salt
  • ½ t Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ C Dried Blueberries or other fruit
  • ¼ C Walnuts, chopped
  • 1 T Flaxseeds
  • 1 T Chia seeds
  • 1 t Vanilla extract
  • 2 T Honey, or as much as you like
  • 1 C Milk or dairy-free milk alternative
  1. Add the water in a medium saucepan and turn the heat to high.
  2. When the water boils, turn the heat to med-high, add oatmeal, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the water is nearly absorbed, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add salt, cinnamon, blueberries, walnuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, vanilla, and honey.
  4. Stir, cover the pan, and turn off heat.
  5. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with milk poured over top.
